American Airlines Offering Boston Holiday Service

American Airlines has announced it will offer nonstop service from Boston to Key West this December on its 76-seat Embraer 175. Three direct, roundtrip flights have been added on Saturdays, December 23 and 30, and Saturday, January 6, 2024. The flight lands in Key West at 3:26 p.m. and departs for Boston’s Logan International Airport at 4:18 p.m. on each of the three days.

“This new service is another piece of great news for the Key West market, especially as we head into the holidays and beyond to what is forecasted as a strong 2024,” said Richard Strickland, Executive Director of Airports for Monroe County.

American Airlines also recently announced it will be adding a second daily flight to Washington’s Reagan National Airport on the Embraer 175.

August Numbers
Nearly 1 million people have used Key West International Airport so far this year, missing last year’s YTD total for the same timeframe by 9.9 percent, or 101,427 passengers. For the month of August, EYW saw 81,436 passengers, 14,466 less than it did in August 2022.
